About Michael Moffett PDF Print E-mail

Michael’s Vision for Storytelling spans the genres of documentary, news, corporate and institutional films.

His work has aired on National Geographic Television, Discovery Channel, PBS, Fox News, Euronews, and many more.

From Michael's southwestern European base he offers cost-effective crew & equipment for film, video and photography shoots in Spain and Portugal.

Recent credits range from managing production and location services for two episodes of the primetime ABC series "The Bachelorette", to directing a few short corporate videos for Google, to writing and directing an hour-long documentary about Muslims in America as part of the "Nexos" series approved by the United Nations High Commission on the Alliance of Civilizations.

It is a long haul to his native Los Angeles, but it is no surprise that, born in the San Gabriel mission hospital on the Camino Real, Spain’s climate, landscapes and architecture have made Michael feel at home for nearly two decades. California was an “island paradise” sought by early Spanish explorers, yet the similarities of their homeland with his own are striking. It somehow seems fitting that this California boy – and wine lover – would turn the tables by settling into Madrid as the Iberia producer-correspondent for a newsmagazine airing on US public television. Stories throughout the Iberian peninsula and islands were the ideal opportunity to shoot with local crews and establish the foundation of a network that serves Camino Media to this day. In the years that followed, new opportunities have allowed him to work with a wide array of broadcasters, production companies, corporate and institutional clients that have sent Michael out from his Spanish home-base to direct, produce, and write factual and commercial projects in more than a dozen countries on five continents. When not SCUBA diving with sea lions, snacking on frankincense, witnessing live crucifixions, or dancing on the tables of Beirut nightclubs, Michael has been bringing back stories from around the world to share with a global audience.
